I-soar

“I-SOAR” depicts the true nature of the real world. It establishes not only that we are all deeply interconnected—we are also deeply interdependent.

Perspective

Perspective (aka Space Selfie) is a composition about perspective. This piece was inspired by a photograph I took during a spacewalk on the STS-124 mission.

Earthshine

Spending months in space I can pinpoint specific moments when I wasn’t just looking down at the Earth, I was looking at a planet hanging in the blackness of space.

Crossing The Terminator

One of the most unique and magical parts of being in space is watching that line that defines the delineation between night and day pass gently below us.

Art from The Orbital Perspective

Everything that I’ve done since leaving NASA has been done with the goal of sharing a big picture long-term perspective of our planet, a perspective that I believe can have positive effects on the trajectory of our society, a perspective that I call “The Orbital Perspective”.

One of the ways I’m working to share this perspective is through art. Through my art I strive to capture not just the visual of life in space but I also try to capture the emotion of the experience. Each piece has profound meaning to me and it is my hope that I can communicate that meaning to others.

My art stems from a responsibility that I feel to share the experience of living and working in space with as many people as possible through every feasible channel. 20% of all proceeds from the sale of prints goes to help the efforts at The Constellation Foundation.
